you: is that desk from west elm? me: nope!

having lived in roughly 700 square feet for the past few years in new york, there was absolutely no room for anything was that was not absolutely essential. and so our coffee table not only doubled as our dining room table but it also doubled as our desk. now that we have a second bedroom (yaaaaay!), i plan to have it double as a guest room and an office - with a real, grown-up desk in there. i've had my eye on this parsons desk from west elm forever, but the $299 price tag (on sale from $329) is too high for me.

so how excited was i when i found this student desk while perusing overstock.com? with a price tag of $159.99, i immediately added it to my shopping bag. not only is it an exact replica of the one from west elm, it's half the price and it's gotten rave reviews from buyers.

plus, overstock offers $1 shipping all the time AND when you sign up for emails they send you a 10% off coupon. SOLD!

omg I love Overstock.com... I got a huge oriental rug from there and not only was it reasonably priced, but the free shipping was way better than buying it in the city and paying a delivery charge! And the buyer reviews are key to know if it "just looks good in the photo"...
