a bucket full of missing socks

i saw this and immediately started cracking up. i can't tell you how many single socks are floating around in my drawer and nick's drawer. if only we had this cute little fabric bucket ($30, inklore) to hold on to all the singles while they wait for their mate to get through the next spin cycle. knowing me, though, it'll end up being a bucket full of socks i never get around to pairing up.

drooling over thomas paul textiles

i've been a fan of thomas paul for years and i love going back to the site now and again to drool. he's been slowly but surely expanding beyond his original pillow line and i love love love it all. his textile design pretty much sums up how i'd want to execute a collection of my own...or maybe i'll just do up my entire home with his fabrics. lightweight scarf is my spring go-to accessory

dying for tom ford but the price is killing me

i know, i know, these shades have been around forever. but my old standby marc jacobs shades are on their last legs and i need something equally as sophisticated and fashionable that won't be out of style in a year. my wayfarers from last year are holding up pretty well but like i said, i need something that will continue to stand the test of time and i keep coming back to tom ford's jennifers. there are a few on ebay for about $250 or amazon for about $275...to buy or not to buy...

laura's here! well...almost...

my sister laura arrives in austin today! we've come a long way since the days of sharing a room, hiding our bike helmets before riding off so mom didn't know we weren't wearing them, fighting over the phone to talk to our junior high boyfriends about absolutely nothing, and trading techniques for that perfect bang poof. i'm looking forward to showing my big sis around our new town. i'm also excited to give her a hug of congrats on her new house!
