liberty of london for mac

i wrote last week about the new liberty of london collection launching at target. turns out they're also launching a line with mac! the line includes eyeshadow, lipstick, lipgloss, blush, nail polish, powder, makeup bags and a scarf, and shades look awesome and right on trend with bright corals and pinks. i think i'm going to take a trip to the domain in austin this weekend to hit up mac and forever 21!

dealing with combination skin

i probably have the most oily skin out of any human i know, especially during summer or like right now when i'm near the beach. it's really annoying. so i rely on these mineral fusion blotting tissues to get me through the day. they're $8 for a pack of 100 (i get mine at whole foods) and they do an awesome job of soaking up excess oil from my t-zone without removing or smudging makeup. clean and clear makes a good one, too, if you aren't a frequenter of whole foods.

get naturally flushed cheeks (without going outside in this oppressive august heat)

i've been hemming and hawing forever about buying this tarte natural cheek stain. the $30 price tag has been giving me cold feet...until now. i came across a friends and family coupon code (FF09) for 40% off everything on tartecosmetics.com, making the cheek stain $18. now's the time to bite the bullet - the coupon expires monday 8/24.

i'm all about the color called flush - it gives a really natural "my-office-boyfriend-who-doesn't-know-he's-my-office-boyfriend-just-caught-me-housing-doritos-at-11am" rosy glow on your cheeks. curious about color? sephora carries the whole line and the associates will show you how to apply - it's really easy (believe me, i'm a horrible maker-upper and i can do it).
